HISTORY OF RCCG SALVATION CENTER, PEORIA ILLINOIS

RCCG Salvation Center PEORIA (SCP) based in the city of Peoria, Illinois is a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) with Pastor E. A. Adeboye as the General Overseer Worldwide with Headquarters at Redemption City, Nigeria. 

Pastors Basil & Bimpe Erebholo, moved by the call of God upon their lives founded RCCG Salvation Center in Peoria Illinois on December 13, 2015. The mantle of pastoring RCCG Salvation Center was passed on to Pastors Robinson & Tayo Imafidon who had been in RCCG ministry as senior pastors in Nigeria. They took over Salvation Center as pastors with effect from December 11, 2022.

RCCG Salvation Center was founded towards realizing the vision/mission to spread the Word of God to the ends of the earth with the aims of leading individuals to Christ, and encouraging these individuals to take as many as possible with them to heaven.

As a Bible believing, and God-fearing church, we teach and encourage a life of holiness. Salvation Center has an appeal to all types of people, with a determination to teach and impart people to excel in their various geographical areas, stages of secular life and levels of spiritual development.

To achieve our Goals, we developed our 3-Gs:

1. Growing – We are growing numerically, in the word of God, in Grace & Love.
2. Giving – We give to the needy, widows & to the work of God.
3. Going – We are a going church to evangelize in directing people to God for salvation of their souls and to find peace & joy in their lives. To achieve this, we visit hospitals, prisons, nursing homes, etc.
